What is CBD?
These days CBD has taken the world by storm, yet so many people are still confused between what it actually is. Understandably so, as so many use the terms ‘Cannabis’, ‘Marijuana’, ‘Hemp’ and ‘CBD’ so loosely. Cannabidiol or better known as ‘CBD’ is a natural compound found within the Hemp plant that looks to offer potential therapeutic support. Hemp is defined as a Cannabis plant that contains 0.3% or less of THC. While, Marijuana is defined as a Cannabis plant that contains 0.3% or more of THC. Our CBD tinctures are made from the Hemp plant and not the Marijuana plant.
Will I get “high”?
No, our oil tinctures are made from the Hemp plant and will not get you “high” or give off psychological effects. The Hemp plant is made up of two major components: CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). The difference, CBD is the non-psychoactive compound of the plant meaning you won’t feel ‘high’ or have effects of euphoria. Whereas, THC – the major active ingredient in marijuana is the chemical associated with psychological effects.
How transparent is THRUit?
Our CBD tinctures are made from the Hemp plant and NOT the Marijuana plant. We pride ourselves on full transparency into our products by tracing the quality of each product’s batch back to the supplier. And we back that up with Certificate of Analysis (COAs). These reports give you peace of mind in knowing exactly what is in each and every product you purchase. You can find these reports here on our website or just scan the QR code on the product label.
Will it show up on a drug test?
No. THC has to be present in order for it to show up on the test. Our CBD tinctures are 3rd-party certified to ensure it is free of THC.
What is broad spectrum CBD?
Our product is Broad Spectrum CBD oil. Broad Spectrum CBD does NOT contain THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) – the “high”. There are other companies that offer different variations of CBD. Another one that you've probably heard or seen is called Full Spectrum CBD. Full Spectrum contains small, legal amounts of all the components of the Cannabis plant including THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). To be more specific, it contains 0.3% or less of THC. And again, our product is Broad Spectrum CBD oil meaning there are no traces of THC.
What is the right way to use it?
CBD can now be found in many things from tincture oils, to edibles, to vape pens and everything in between but the biggest difference is the speed of the delivery. Tincture CBD oil is said to be the most effective delivery system without the negative byproducts. Tincture CBD oil is also touted for its versatility to be used both internally and externally for the body. When taken internally, the recommended dosage is to take one completely full tincture dropper under the tongue and increase dosage as needed. When used externally, a few drops can be rubbed into your temples, a few drops can be applied or massaged into the muscles, joints, and ligaments.
